Well, unfortunately it is hard to say what is wrong.
Try to install .net 4.8 from this link:
https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet-framework/net48
If it's successful, try to install older version of logic circuit from this link:
https://logiccircuit.org/downloads/LogicCircuit.Setup.2.22 ...

Can you try to get a log of the crash.
Try to launch the program again, wait it to crash.
Then click windows start button and type: Event Viewer and hit enter.
In the Event Viewer application expand Windows Log on the left part of the window and click on Application.

Hi,
Looks like there are a missing component on Win7 that required by LogicCircuit. Unfortunately, it can only be installed on Win8 or later.
Your best option is to upgrade to later windows. If this not possible, please let me know what version of .net you have installed on this machine.

The frequency is what windows is controlling I've heard some tweaks can be made to really allow higher freqs.
For some other issues please see the new version. It has most of them. Like clock in sensors, saved scroll location and text with smaller spaces.

There are no any limitations or performance penalties on the size of individual circuit. The only consideration you should have is how easy to understand and observe your design.

Thanks for the suggestions.
I will try to implement the alignments, but it's better to keep your circuits small. They are more readable and easier to understand and verify.
